Feature and Follow Friday #10

TGIF! I can't believe it's May already! Where the heck did the first four months go?? And where is Spring? Stupid groundhog.

Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly event/hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. It's a great way to find new blogs and make new friends!

This weeks Question:
Q: Give us a sneak! What are you reading? Tell us about a fun or fail scene in your current read.
I'm currently reading A Sliver of Shadow by Allison Pang. Any scene with Phin is fun. Every single one of them!

Feature and Follow Friday #9

T.G.I.F. That is all I can say :)

Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly event/hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. It's a great way to find new blogs and make new friends!

This weeks Question:
Q: Is there a song that reminds you of a book? Or vice versa? What is the song & the book?
I'm not gonna lie here - if I've had it happen, I can't remember it now. Isn't that sad? I'll have to pay more attention to music and books to see if anything clicks!

What about you? What would be your answer to this tough question? Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Feature and Follow Friday #8

Welcome to another Friday! I hope your weather is a little more stable than mine is right now. :)

Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly event/hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. It's a great way to find new blogs and make new friends!

This weeks Question:
Q: If you could hang out with any author (living) who would it be and what would you want to do?
Oh wow. There are SO many I'd love to meet. It's not possible to pick only one. A nice dinner with all of them would be amazing! Here's a list - it's alphabetical (I think LOL) and in no way complete! Some are authors I've read for years, and some are new to my reading list, but still enjoyable. We'd need a really  big table!
  • Kelley Armstrong
  • David Baldacci
  • Patricia Briggs
  • Jackie Collins
  • Janet Evanovich
  • Laurell K. Hamilton
  • Staci Hart
  • Juliana Haygert
  • Kevin Hearne
  • Darynda Jones
  • Tiffany King
  • Mercedes Lackey
  • Richelle Mead
  • CE Murphy
  • James Patterson
  • Linda Poitevin
  • Nicole Taylor
  • JK Rowling
  • Magan Vernon
What about you? I can't wait to see everyone's answers this week. Have a great weekend, everybody!

Feature & Follow Friday #7

Happy Friday! We've reached the end of another week - YAY!

Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly event/hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. It's a great way to find new blogs and make new friends.  :)

This weeks Question:
Q: We are about to see a lot of posts & tweets about reader conventions, RT, BEA, ALA and many more are starting soon. Which one would you love to attend? Where and why?

For years, I've wanted to go to RT. This is actually the first year I've paid attention to BEA, and I wish I could swing it. It would kill two birds with one stone - my first ever reader convention and going to New York. I guess I'll start a 'reader convention' fund here soon...maybe I'll be able to attend one next year. :) For this year, I'll just have to live vicariously through all of you lucky attendees!

What about you? I'd love to hear about some of your previous convention experiences!

Feature & Follow Friday #6

Happy Friday Saturday (night). Yep. I'm late this week. :)

Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly event/hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. It's a great way to find new blogs and make new friends.  :)

This weeks Question:
Q: Have you ever read a book that you thought you would hate — ? Did you end up hating it? Did you end up loving it? Or would you never do that?

There are too many books out there I really want to read, so it's hard to possibly waste my time on something I think I'd hate. Although...once in a great while, I'll find a book I think sounds interesting, but it has not-so-great reviews. If the book really pulls at me, I might read it anyway so I can decide for myself. Sadly, most of the time I end up agreeing with the not-so-great reviews. Someday I'll learn my lesson.

Check out the linky below to see what other bloggers have to say on the subject - maybe you'll find some new blogs to love!  :)

Feature & Follow Friday #5

Happy Friday! Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly event/hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. It's a great way to find new blogs and make new friends.  :)

This weeks Question:
Tell us about the most emotional scene you've ever read in a book - and how did you react?

I refuse to give spoilers here since there are people who have not read this series (shocking, right?), but some of the most emotional scenes I've ever read were in Harry Potter books. One was a certain point in Half-Blood Prince where I cried. Sobbed, honestly. And there are several spots in Deathly Hallows that had me in tears, too. It's possible tears were shed in every single book, now that I think about it.

Hop along and see if you can find some new blogs to follow!  :)

Feature & Follow Friday #4

Another week's end is here! Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly event/hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. It's a great way to find new blogs and make new friends.  :)

This weeks Question:
Activity! Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon…so tell us about your favorite outdoor reading spot. Or take a picture.

Years ago, I used to love to sit at the little park by my house and read. Now, when I break down and sit outside (which isn't often!), it's on my deck in a super comfy chair. With the way our weather can be, there are maybe five or six PERFECT weather days around here. Days that make me want to hang out with nature. :)

Feature & Follow Friday #3

We've reached the end of another week! Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly event/hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. It's a great way to find new blogs and make new friends.  :)

This weeks Question:
What is a book you didn’t like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn’t popular?

Oh, wow. I'd definitely have to say Twilight  is one that I did not like and everyone else LOVED. Sometimes, it feels like I'm the only person in the world who couldn't finish the series! I don't think there's one I loved that the masses disliked.  :)

Feature & Follow Friday #2

TGIF!  And I really mean that this week - it's been another long one! Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly event/hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. It's a great way to find new blogs and make new friends.  :)

This weeks Question:
Confess your blogger sins! Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you’ve done, that as you gained more experience you were like — oops?

Well, since I am still a very newbie blogger, I don't think I've made any major oopsies, but I'm sure there will be some! As hard as I try to be careful and do things right, mistakes are bound to happen. I just hope to keep them to a minimum!

Feature & Follow Friday #1

*WAVES*  Hi everyone and welcome to my first Feature & Follow Friday! This is a weekly event/hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read

This week's question:
Q: We always talk about books that WE want. Let's turn it on its head. What books have you given other people lately?

Honestly, other than my first few blog hop giveaways, I haven't given away many books lately.  But, a friend just got her first Kindle Fire, and I gave her an Amazon gift card.  Does that count?  :)

Feel free to poke around the blog a bit, leave a comment, say 'hi'. I'm looking forward to meeting even more awesome book bloggers!
